Differences in Production and Application of Various Road Marking Paints
I. Hot-Melt Road Marking
1. Hot-Melt Ordinary Road Markings: No glass beads are added during paint production; glass beads are applied topically during application.
2. Hot-Melt Reflective Road Markings: Glass beads are pre-mixed during paint production; glass beads are applied topically during application.
3. Hot-Melt Raised Road Markings: Glass beads are pre-mixed during paint production; glass beads are applied topically during application.
4. Hot-Melt Anti-Slip Road Markings: Anti-slip reflective material is pre-mixed during paint production; anti-slip reflective material is applied topically during application.
5. Hot-Melt Crack-Resistant Road Markings: Glass beads are pre-mixed during paint production, and 10% crack-resistant additive is added; glass beads are applied topically during application.
6. Hot-Melt Colored Anti-Slip Road Markings: Anti-slip aggregate is pre-mixed during production; glass beads are not applied topically during application.
7. Hot-melt rain-reflective road markings: Pre-mixed with 30% high-gloss glass with a retroreflective coefficient of not less than 800mcd and a sphericity of not less than 90% during production. Rain-reflective beads and high-gloss glass beads with rain-reflective function are applied during construction.
8. Hot-melt anti-fouling road markings: Pre-mixed with glass beads during production; glass beads are applied to the surface during construction.

II. Two-Component Road Markings
1. Two-component spray-on road markings: Glass beads are not premixed during paint production; they are applied topically during application.
2. Two-component raised road markings: Glass beads are premixed during paint production; they are applied topically during application.
3. Two-component structural road markings: Glass beads are premixed during paint production; they are applied topically during application.
4. Two-component scraper-applied road markings: Glass beads are premixed during paint production; they are applied topically during application.
5. Two-component colored anti-skid pavement: Glass beads are not premixed during paint production; anti-skid aggregate is applied topically during application.
6. Two-component rain and night reflective road markings: For spray-on markings, rain and night reflective beads are applied directly topically; for scraper-applied markings, high-gloss beads and rain and night reflective beads are mixed into the paint during production; both are applied topically during application.
III. Water-based Road Markings
1. Water-based spray-on road markings: Glass beads are not premixed in the paint during production; they are applied topically during application.
2. Water-based scraper-applied road markings: Glass beads are premixed in the paint during production; they are applied topically during application.
3. Water-based structural road markings: Glass beads are premixed in the paint during production; they are applied topically during application.
4. Water-based raised road markings: Glass beads are premixed in the paint during production; they are applied topically during application.
5. Water-based quick-drying road markings: Glass beads are not premixed in the paint during production; they are applied topically during application.
6. Water-based colored anti-skid pavement: Glass beads are not premixed in the paint during production; anti-skid aggregate is applied topically during application.
7. Water-based Rain-Reflective Road Markings: Spray-on type: Rain-reflective beads are directly applied to the surface. Scraper-applied type: High-gloss beads and rain-reflective beads are mixed into the paint during production; during application, these beads are applied directly to the surface.
8. Water-based Two-Component Road Markings: Scraper-applied type: Glass beads are mixed into the paint; during application, glass beads are applied directly to the surface.
9. Rain-Reflective Road Markings: Reflective elements are mixed into the paint; spray application is used.
IV. Solvent-based Road Markings
1. Solvent-based Spray-on Road Markings: Glass beads are not premixed into the paint during production; during application, glass beads may or may not be applied directly to the surface.
2. Solvent-based Two-Component Road Markings: Spray-on type: Glass beads are not mixed into the paint; during application, glass beads are applied directly to the surface.
V. Pre-formed Road Markings
1. Adhesive-backed Pre-formed Markings: Pressure-sensitive adhesive is coated on the back of the marking tape during production; during application, a primer is sprayed onto the road surface, and after drying, the markings are directly applied.
2. Unadhesive-backed pre-formed road markings: These markings are manufactured without adhesive on the back. During installation, adhesive is applied to both the road surface and the back of the markings simultaneously.
3. Heat-cured pre-formed road markings: These markings are manufactured with glass beads mixed in. During installation, the glass beads are sprinkled on the surface and melted on-site using a torch.
VI. Other Road Markings
1. Rain-Reflective Colored Anti-Slip Pavement (Functional Type)
2. Polyurea Colored Anti-Slip Pavement (Material Type)
3. Acrylic Colored Anti-Slip Pavement (Material Type)
4. Epoxy Colored Anti-Slip Pavement (Material Type)
5. Polyurethane Colored Anti-Slip Pavement (Material Type)
