Common Misconceptions about Line Marking Machines: Many customers unfamiliar with hot-melt line marking machines often mistakenly believe that hot-melt line marking is the same as room-temperature cold spraying, requiring only one machine. However, the reality is that hot-melt line marking is far more complex than room-temperature line marking.
Road cleaning:Special personnel are assigned to clean the road surface to ensure it is clean and free of noticeable dust.
(1) Measurement and Layout: Under clean road surface conditions, mark points according to the design drawings, then use white latex material to mark the waterline of the road edge. After checking for accuracy, proceed with the marking work.
(2) Marking Application:
a: Add hot melt paint to the hot melt kettle and heat evenly to a suitable temperature.
b: Apply a road-specific primer evenly to one side of the marked waterline to ensure better adhesion between the road surface and the marking, and to prevent groundwater evaporation and avoid the marking from falling off after construction.
c: Load the hot melt paint, melted to a workable state, into a push-type construction vehicle, and add an appropriate amount of glass beads to the truck bed.
d: Adjust the flow rate, and begin formal construction when the primer has dried to a suitable degree. During construction, a waterline should be used as a base to ensure construction quality. e: The coating thickness for lane edge lines, lane dividing lines, directional arrows, road center lines, warning markings, etc., should be 1.5-2.0mm; the thickness for speed reduction markings should be 5mm. The surface glass beads should be evenly distributed, and the marked lines should have good visibility, consistent width, equal spacing, flush edges, good reflectivity, and a firm bond with the road surface.

Hot melt line marking construction techniques for line marking machines
Because hot-melt marking machines require heating the powdered marking paint to a high temperature of 180-200 degrees Celsius to melt it into a liquid before use, small hot-melt marking machines typically use separate marking devices and heating equipment for melting the paint for safety reasons. This avoids unnecessary burns and also greatly improves melting efficiency.
Generally, newly established line marking teams need the following hot-melt line marking equipment: hydraulic double-cylinder hot-melt kettle, hand-push hot-melt line marking machine, hand-push hot-melt zebra crossing machine, hand-push pre-marking machine, etc.
Cleanup: During construction, cleanup is carried out simultaneously with line marking to ensure no throwing, spilling, dripping, or leaking, and no pollution or oil/water leakage from the equipment. The construction team cleans the road surface in the marked area promptly after each interval to keep the road clean and free from pollution and damage. The hot-melt kettle is vehicle-mounted, greatly facilitating transportation. It also features high melting efficiency, good melting quality, low fuel consumption, energy saving and environmental protection, simple operation, and high safety. When used in conjunction with a hand-push line marking machine, it is highly efficient for the construction of yellow and white hot-melt flat long solid lines and short dashed lines.
