Road marking paint is also classified into three types according to its direction:

1. Transverse markings, which are set at a fixed viewpoint with the direction of traffic;
2. Markings set along the direction of traffic;
3. Other forms of markings, such as characters and symbols.

Road marking paint can be classified into four types according to its shape:

1. Lines: Solid or dashed lines painted on the road surface, curbs, or vertical surfaces;
2. Characters: Text, numbers, and various graphics and symbols painted on the road surface;
3. Marking classification: Raised pavement markers: Reflective or non-reflective objects installed on the road surface to indicate lane boundaries, edges, merging and diverging points, curves, dangerous sections, changes in road width, and the location of road obstacles;
4. Reflective posts (or reflective sheets) installed on both sides of the road to indicate the direction of the road and the outline of the carriageway boundaries.

Road Marking Paint Application Method:

When applying, the base material and hardener are mixed in a specific ratio, and after a chemical cross-linking reaction and drying, a strong paint film is formed. It has excellent adhesion to the ground, glass beads, and rain reflective beads. It dries quickly, is wear-resistant, water-resistant, acid and alkali-resistant, has good weather resistance, a thick film, a long service life, and good reflectivity. It currently occupies a dominant position on high-grade highways in my country. It can be used for speed reduction, vibration, warning, and rain marking purposes, and comes in various forms such as ribbed, dotted, and rain groove types. It is now widely used as speed reduction lines and edge lines on highways
